Welcome to my Tropical Dream Store!
My name is Jacqueline Kealoha Ford and I create colorful and distinctive work to emanate joy and peace. My priority is to bring more light, beauty and kindness into the human experience through creative works!
One of my passions is to express the vibrant spirit of landscapes, tropical birds, flowers, dancers and people tending to their daily work by bringing them to life with harmonious colors and bold compositions.
I strive to honor the people, land and culture of Asia and Polynesia through my art work.
My longtime great passion is painting portraits!
People, pets, objects and plants!
It is very exciting being a part of the barrier breaking generation of women artists who have been shaping the art world for the past 3 decades. As a native San Francisco Bay Area multicultural artist with Hawaiian, Chinese, French and Spanish heritage, I make art that is informed richly by my cultural experiences.
I have been an Arts Educator, teaching and promoting creativity during my 25 yr. career in Bay Area schools, museums and art centers and as an assoc. prof. of art at Cal State East Bay University.
While living in Honolulu for graduate school, I got to dance Hula and Tahitian Ori. Recently I founded the Hula Girl NFT project with some wonderful partners. I am the lead artist and the project lets me effectively merge my passions for Art, Dance and Polynesia!
I am now in my 50’s, and happily a single mother of a 7 yr. old hula girl who loves to make lots of art with her mom!
I hope you enjoy this site!
